September 10 has been established by the experts as the approximate date of birth for Mr. Henry Purcell, England's greatest native-born composer, and this year marks his 350th anniversary. Patsy Morita presents this encomium in lieu of a blowout birthday party, and invites us to celebrate the works of this under-appreciated but brilliant Baroque master of opera, choral, vocal, and instrumental music.
